According to an announcement made yesterday by Brigadier General Yahya Saree Anu, the official spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, the Republic of Yemen says it has officially entered what it called the “Battle of the Flood” of Al-Aqsa.

That “battle” is the current phase of the Israel-Palestinian conflict, so named by Hamas after their October 7 attacks into Israeli territory.

In a televised public address yesterday, General Saree his country has formally begun their “third operation in support of the oppressed brethren in Palestine”.

The address went on to claim credit for failed missiles and drones launched on Israel on October 19. Most of those are believed to have been shot down on their way from Yemen into Israel. But instead of having been brought down the Israeli Defense Forces’ Iron Dome system, it was American naval vessels in the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Israel which successfully destroyed them in mid-air.

In the televised speech, General Saree pledged to make good on their declaration of war by launching a large quantity of ballistic missiles, drones, and “winged” weapons into Israeli territory.

Since the Houthis have little capacity on their own to create. deploy, and maintain such weaponry on their own, it is believed the missiles were most likely supplied by the government of Iran. Iran has been openly backing the Houthis in their civil war against the puppet Yemeni government run by Saudi Arabia, France, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

While the declaration of war against Israel has not been commented on publicly by most parties yet, even this small country’s decision to do this represents a serious escalation of the war well beyond the borders of Israel, the West Bank, and the Gaza Strip.

In related news, heavy shelling, missile fire, and rockets have been reported in U.S. military installations in Iraq and Syria. Israel has also become launching air strikes in Syria on locations it believes to be where Iran or others might set up covert bases from which to attack Israel more directly.
